I was trying to think of a way to maybe make the image pop a bit more! For some reason, I feel as though it isn't quite as dynamic as it could be- it might be the checkered tape or the very bright background (and its texture), which I feel takes away from the focus of the photo. You could maybe try to do something similar but on a plain white background, perhaps creating the shadows with the lighting (instead of using the hand)? That's just one option, of course. But I think that a black and white (with maybe the writing on the paper as the sole color) and having very severe contrasting shadows and light could work.
Needless to say, I think it's quite an interesting piece- now you can just play around with different lighting and styles to see which fits best.
